Mothball chips, in small amounts will work sometimes. They also
work for dogs, bunnies, squirrel's, etc. It doesn't hurt the
animals, it's simply an oder deterrent.

I've heard all the other approaches, this one is more practical.

(don't put them where your dog goes)
