But why bother, since it does not need dormancy, just a little cooling down
in the fall? If you bring it indoors in September or October, you have that

I'm with Iris. It extends the growing season, and if you have the proper light and
humidity the plant does fine. Mine grew like a weed during the winter.

Plus, you can enjoy it during the winter. I'm glad I took her up on her suggestion
last year.
