An observation on rose bushes
Sniff! I was looking for another explanation besides the usual

The poor sap had two rose bushes where the top died out & the understock
grew
and bloomed, a common occurrence. I tried to tell him this, but he kept
looking
for an exotic and anthropomorphic explanation. I guess he finally gave up
&
went away.
