Default Lord Chicken

The message
from Tarapia Tapioco contains these
words:

I've had my Hydrangea bush for many years, and there have always been
flowers on it. This year, however, nothing!
Any ideas please?

I think hydrangeas (hence the name?) need lashings of water, and there
was a pronounced absence of it last summer.

They do need a lot of water but hard cutting back can result in no flowers,
too. Only cut out what is really necessary to maintain shape, get rid of
crossing stems, free a path, whatever.
