Default [IBC] Hooray!

Gee, I started some Pomegranate seedlings last year. I think every one
I planted came up. They did well all Summer and Fall, then started
showing signs of dormancy around November so I overwintered in my cold
garage. I just brought them into my house last week and placed in a
South window .... and "hooray", every one of them is pushing new growth
already.

Outside temps are still well below freezing and we had the biggest snow
storm of the season yesterday which left 10-12 inches of snow on the
ground. But, somehow, just seeing my Pomegranates coming back is enough
to help fight off the cabin fever.

I've got these trees in four inch pots at the moment. I'd like to
repot, but only to trim off the tap root and spread the root pad out a
bit. Is that something I can do now, or should I wait until they have a
chance to fill out a bit first? None of them has any leaves just yet,
but the buds are starting to break.

Thanks,

Mike Peck

: The sun's out, trees are blooming; can spring be far behind?
:
: First time in 5 days we've even seen a _hint_ of the sun. Skies
: are blue and almost cloudless today. It's 65 instead of 45.
:
: Japanese plum is in full bloom in the yard. Red maples (Acer
: rubrum) are blooming in the swamp.
:
: I can at least START to think of spring. (We're knee deep in
: mud, which is even more spring-like.)
:
: Will start repotting next week sometime.
