How happy I am those didn't come to *my* plant doctor site!

If you get a lot of these questions, you might want to plagiarize my diagnostic form, forcing these people to put down information on whether the tree is in or out, how they water, what cultural practices they have practiced, etc. It saves you from badger
ing them for these answers later.

I can't properly answer those questions without that information, but the privet ought to be outdoors, not indoors.

Question: just bought a chinese privet in good shape. when i bought it i was told that when you put your finger in the soil it was to damp and should not water it to soon. i put my finger in the soil just after and it didn't feel damp at all. to keep t
he same dampness as when bought, i would water about every two or sometime three days. now the leaves are shriveled and falling off very fast. i started to water it every day for the past three days because i think what the person told me was wrong. what
kind of care should i give to this tree?
