Default What tree is this?
(PG1) in
om:

I have a tree in my yard that I've never seen before. It has large,
sharp thorns on the bark, pods that look like avocados (only larger)
and a large white "cotton ball" bloom when the pods open.

I can send a digital picture if needed.

sounds Bombax Family (Bombacaceae)
