Default Fairy Rings

Get mushrooms
Original ring is 10ft accros and

Next one is a 4ft semi circle

others are smaller but new ones developing fast
The soil is bare in the rings with deeper green grass growing stronger at
the edges

What beats me is what is decaying underneath to have caused this

The only tree that was removed had all roots traced and dug out

The fungus grows outwards from a central point, essentially producing a
thick mycelial mass that kills off the grass as it advances. You get a ring,
nutrients are released that causes the rest of the grass around the dyign
patch to grow more lusciously, and that also gives the nutrients the fungus
needs. Given the right conditions you get mushrooms.

Have dug out the circles to a depth of 1ft
treated with armillotox put in fresh soil and new turfs .........6 months
later back to square one and worse

I wouldn't have expected that to work.

Do you know what sort of mushroom this is? I'm told that something as simple
as washing up liquid can be effective in preventing the fairy ring
champignon (Marasmius oreades) from causing this damage. I'd love that one
in my lawn, it tastes great, especially if you know how to differentiate it
from the potentially deadly Clitocybe species that you get in the same
habitat...

Have you considered just enjoying the pretty mushrooms growing up on your
lawn?
