Have had pots and pots of gladiolus growing back every year for

I dont really tend them - I guess because they seem to just pop
up all
by
themselves every year, I dont cut the shoots back as they die
off, only
remove the dead heads.
What did I do wrong - if anything?

Have they been in the same pots and in the SAME COMPOST?
If so they have exhausted all the nutrients in the compost.
Have you fed them? Maybe tomato feed would help but it might be
too
late for this year,
Perhaps you should repot them in fresh compost

It's still very early for Gladioli~~ plenty of time yet
surely?
Brian.
Thanks Pam - I am ashamed of myself - you may have a point there - I
do
rather take them for granted as they have given a splendid show for
5 years
or so.
And Brian, *that* had crossed my mind - but they flowered early end
of May
last year!!
Gladioli in May? Are you sure?
I have checked the green spike leaves closely and cant see
anything resembling a flower forming. But will wait and see!
Thanks alot )
