Most slug and snail killers such as Ortho Bug-Geta Snail & Slug Killer
contain 2% Metaldehyde, 5% Carbaryl which is toxic to orchids if too much
is applied it also Kills pets and other mammals, too.

iron phosphate contained in brands such as Sluggo is Biodegradable and is
non toxic. Lowes caries a brand that is cheaper than Sluggo just read the
label just look for the ingrediant iron phosphate.
