g'day phil,

i'm no conifer fan at the best of time so i'd lean toward removing
them some of the conifers can get quiet large so may interferre with
the foundations.

can't quiet id the palm but it looks like a clumpiong type, not
colourful enough to be a golden cane - dypsis (was chrysaldocaropus)
lutescens, so could be a macarthur - ptychosperma macarthurii. if so
they should be safe that close.
