Conifers/palms near house
On the south side of my house, there is a narrow plot which has some
conifers and palms. To my thinking they appear to be a little too close to the foundations (limestone). I have a couple of pics he http://ii.net/~gr0mit/files/pics/gar...41017-1231.jpg http://ii.net/~gr0mit/files/pics/gar...41017-1232.jpg Firstly, can you identify these conifers and palms? As you can see in the photos, they are quite close to the foundation. Is this a going to be a problem down the track? Thanks ) -- Phil To reply delete "NOTHANKS" |

g'day phil,
i'm no conifer fan at the best of time so i'd lean toward removing them some of the conifers can get quiet large so may interferre with the foundations. can't quiet id the palm but it looks like a clumpiong type, not colourful enough to be a golden cane - dypsis (was chrysaldocaropus) lutescens, so could be a macarthur - ptychosperma macarthurii. if so they should be safe that close. len snipped -- happy gardening 'it works for me it could work for you,' "in the end ya' gotta do what ya' gotta do" but consider others and the environment http://members.optusnet.com.au/~gardenlen1/ my e/mail addies have spam filters you should know what to delete before you send. |
