Yes, I totally agree with Rod's sentiments. Andrew did not give the
diameter of the respective trees so that we can gauge how easy it would
be to upend them.

I suspect that both would be about 7" diameter in which case it would
not take much digging, chopping and rocking to dislodge both of them.
They would, of course, need to be chopped down to about 4' before work
begins.

Good useful product but you don't need it for your 'fir'. I don't know
what your 'fir' is, but the vast majority of conifers will not survive
being cut to ground level. It will work fine on your oak. However
these trees are quite small enough to get out completely with a bit of
effort and I always prefer to do that if possible. It's much easier to
garden in the area if you aren't trying to work around tree stumps.
