After a life time of avoiding *touching* worms, after we
put in the pond I have no trouble picking them up with
my fingers and dropping them in the pond.Though I try not
to get too carried away as worms are good garden critters.

Now snails.... that's another story. Land snails are sent
winging into the pond. When we have turtles in the pond
land snails are an wonderful treat, probably full of vitamens
and minerals! Fun to watch a turtle, at full speed (for a turtle)
go after the snails.
