You are viewing USENET postings. They are not email per se.
So you are saying hostavalley never made a previous post that someone
could have replied to off line therby causing him to post again.
Usenet postings are public communications. Email is a private
communication between the sender and receiver (normally) though an
inadvertent replytoall can make something public to all the original
receivers.
I may be picking a knit - but postings are not equal to email to me.
