The babies are viable, but they are killed.

That's perhaps a necessary step in order to reach our full and unlimited
(cough) "reproductive rights." About a hundred years ago, G.K.
Chesterton saw what was coming when he wrote, "Let all the babies be
born. Then let us drown those we do not like." Which would be much more
humane than ripping out the brains of the unborn and disposing of their
remains like so much garbage. At least a drowned infant could be
accorded the dignity of a decent burial. The Romans used to dispose of
unwanted infants by leaving them to die of exposure, and often on the
doorsteps of Christians whose stupid compassion and respect for all
human life was common knowledge.
