| Hi. I bought a sensitive plant (mimosa pudica) at the weekend and it seems
| pretty potbound, so I would like to re-pot it. I don't know what sort of
| soil it likes though, would ordinary houseplant compost do? There is loads
| of much-the-same info on the internet about this plant but every site I
| visit fails to mention the type of soil to use and my houseplant book just
| says that re-potting isn't necessary!
|
| The houseplant book may well be right, so if I were you I'd ask the people
| from whom it was bought.

But, if it does need repotting, ordinary soil is fine. It must be
well-drained.
