Phrag Ecua-Bess which I got from Rob's Little Frog Farm in May is in spike
now! Actually it has been in spike since late November, when I first noticed
the double leaf emerging which someone here at rgo had told me is a
tell-tale sign of beginning of spike in Phrag, but at first I was not sure
whether to believe that it really was in spike -- I thought, maybe it was
going to have two leaves there after all, better not to set my heart on a
spike and be disappointed. After returning from the hospital with little
Robert, at first I did not have time to examine all the orchids for spike
activity, but when I did, I noticed that the Phrag now has what is
unmistakably a spike and not just leaves. Yay!
