Dear Lady Gardener,

I thought that your comment was advice to the effect that the loosecannon
(always dangerous types) should exercise some ingenuity and improvise with
an alternative coil for his broken toy. Which was my thought, but I decided
that he would not appreciate it.

But he has come back with an inscrutable reply. Is it really in your
Fathers's shed. Did I miss something between the lines?

So sorry leftred - there was a lot in-between the lines on that one, added
to which I had a very blonde moment and replied to group rather than to
Loosecannon.

The shed to which I referred is indeed my father's shed and is known to both
the loosecannon and myself. It can be a place of ingenuity and
improvisation. However there is the infinite possibility that the ailing
equipment will never see light of day again, or if it does it may be
reincarnated as a bird feeder, a pedal car, a talking donkey or a magicians
cupboard.
