On the dog subject, I often see posts here about bitches peeing on
grass and 'burning' it. Well, we have a box hedge and 3 dogs. They
queue up each morning to pee against that hedge with just the same
effect. Bitches and dogs are as 'guilty' as each other ini that
respect.

I reckon it's to do with urine concentration; in which dogs seem to
vary quite a bit. Our previous dogs/bitches never noticeably burnt
plants/grass with their pee, but the present bitch does, with her first
morning pee only.Unlike previous dogs of ours, she often defers her
first pee until after her breakfast so it's a very long one and quite
concentrated after 7 or 8 hours sleep. Easily solved by making sure it's
done on earth or gravel.
