The idea of losing $20-60 , OR MORE after all your

And if someone stole an actual tree, think how devastating that would be.
The worst loss would be not the monetary value of the tree, but its
sentimental value, and all of the hours put into training and looking
after it.

Liam,
I'm not familiar with any "missing" finished/trained , expensive bonsai
from conventions. Stock, yes definitely and myself carving equipment. The
most expensive thing I've lost is a DeWalt die grinder kit in Dallas last
April. The kit retailed for $165. Over the years, many smaller ( but
expensive) carving items. Last year I had a Samurai carver stolen at a show.
It is much easier to walk out of a venfding area with a bag with a small
item than it is with a fully developed tree. Finally, Money is
money...whether it took a long time to make it or a short time!

[To Arthur]

I suppose one consolation if someone stole your stone would be to think
that the thief obviously appreciates the value of it, even if they just
want to sell it.
I hope you find the rock somehow.
Liam

Liam,
I don't think that's much of a consolation. If you are mugged on a city
street and your watch and wifes jewelry are stolen I'd not care if the
thief appreciated it or not!

Dale Cochoy
