In my book, NOT weeds, but lovely flowers!
From the pictures and from a European perspective, Iwould say that the
leaves do not fold round the stems enough (ot 'amplexicaul') for A. turrita,
nor are they sufficiently toothed for A. alpina. However they might well be
some related species from USA.
