Looks like some species of Arabis of the Brassicaceae (Cruciferae)
family.

Google images for Arabis caucasica. and Arabis turrita.

In my book, NOT weeds, but lovely flowers!

From the pictures and from a European perspective, Iwould say that the
leaves do not fold round the stems enough (ot 'amplexicaul') for A. turrita,
nor are they sufficiently toothed for A. alpina. However they might well be
some related species from USA.

the Arabis is a good clue. Newcomb's Wildflower Guide has four
none of which pop out as matches so far

Arabis grabra
Arabis laevigata
Arabis hirsuta
Arabis lyrata

Maybe it will develop into one.
