Hi All,

Looking for a nice tree bench to go around our elm tree in our garden.
The trunk is around 1 meter in length (diameter?). Can someone give me
some pointers? We don’t really want steel, and we certainly don’t want
anything that needs painting regularly if at all. Any suggestions? We
saw a really nice round one which I think was made out of teak but it
cost £1400, which is above our budget. We did not want to spend much
more the 500 or a bit more if it’s worth it. Would appreciate any
feedback.

more via google with round trunk "tree seat"

Also, as an aside question, we grow mint in our garden and we drink it
with tea, but this year there are many greenflies on it. What is the
best way to get rid without making the mint unusable?

Pick the mint and rinse the greenfly of with water

Sorry for being cheeky and asking two questions in the same post.

Not a problem, but you might get better reply's if you post each question
seperatly :~)

Many Thanks,
Naomi.

Jenny
Thanks for the suggestions Jenny, it’s much appreciated!

As for the mint, we did try to rinse it out with water, but upon putting the boiling water on it many of the little creatures floated to the surface. I have to say that they are incredibly small so I could not see them at all until they floated to the tom.

Many thanks for the suggestion about the tree bench. I looked on google as you suggested and found two gorgeous ones and was wandering if anyone can help with either:

1. http://www.cyan-teak-furniture.com/a...sale_shop.html which is made from teak (so not much maintenance needed hopefully) but slightly on the expensive side.
2. http://www.farawayfurniture.co.uk/sh...ion=full&id=26 - this one which is also made from teak, looks beautiful and on google it mentioned to put voucher code 'googlebench' which should give some money off. I can’t see where to put the code in, any ideas?

Anyone used either two companies? Which one should I go with? That is definitely the one we both really like. Any help appreciated!

Also, is it true that teak needs less maintenance then normal hardwood? It does seem to be a bit more expensive, but neither of us is able to maintain regularly and we both dislike metal benches.

Sorry about rambling on,
Naomi.
