Could you not just use a dawn to dusk sensor.
That would waste energy and pollute his neighbourhood night sky all
night long, instead of just the evening.
:-((
I had assumed that he would want to use it in conjunction with a
timeclock
which sets the constant off time!
You misled me with the notion of a "dawn" sensor !

Isle of Arran Open Gardens weekend 21,22,23 July 2006
5 UKP three-day adult ticket (funds go to island charities) buys entry
to 26 private gardens
That's a damned lie -you confused yourself with the notion of a dawn
sensor:-)
Any road he could always use the dawn trigger as a marker for the
calculation of when next to turn on the lights.
Any volunteer nerds to write the programme?
