as the time of nightfall changes through out the year, where could i find
some list of nightfall times; so i could just reset the timer at the
beginning of every month. thanks

If you go to the local 5 day forecast you can have loads of innocent
amusement reading works of speculative fiction, and also see a list of
sunrise and sunset times for each day.

or should my lights go on for say an hour after sunset? since i really
only want them to come on when its quite dark. thanks for any further

but it would have to be set up outside. (extra bother). i did have one
years ago it just never seemed very sensitive or accurate somehow.

Each month, look at the time given that day in your newspaper. and
reset the timer accordingly. The time changes by a few minutes every day
but it will be near enough for the rest of that month.
