When we moved to the house there was a massive cteeper that had invaded
the
conifers, it was removed but leaps back 2/3 times a year. I know where it
pops up so catch it each time but by the time I find it it has grown to
about 20 ft high, it seems to grow like a rocket.
It has a very tough vine like stalk and grows straight up till it gets to
around that height then begins to wind into the trees.

They are about 5 to 6 inches long and 1 1/2 wide. Glossy thick leaves and
very dark green. Would like to know what it is and the best way to get it
out. It grows up about 2 inches from the trunk of the trees.
Thanks in advance.
Clematis perhaps montana?
I grew one of these and a russian vine up my neighbours leylandii conifers.
It certainly brightened them up.
