Yes it can and will thrive if you pay attention to watering and feeding.
Use a large pot -even for a small plant and ensure good drainage but
never
allow the plant to dry out. Feed regularly with a high nitrogen
fertiliser
and the occasional balanced feed.

What would a high nitrogen fertiliser that I could buy in a normal DIY
store or garden centre ?


I use pelleted chicken manure which seems to be available at most Garden
Centres.
