However, bamboos don't really like pots. They're not very good at coping with dry conditions, so if you let the pot dry out, the leaves will curl and may even fall off. So you need to provide some sort of irrigation system to prevent this. And most people find it much easier not to grow them in pots. |

Use a large pot -even for a small plant and ensure good drainage but never allow the plant to dry out. Feed regularly with a high nitrogen fertiliser and the occasional balanced feed. |
