Thumbs up

Thanks. All of this is what I was hoping to hear and I am going to give it a try. Thing is, I want to use the bamboo for a screen and don't really want to have to start over once it gets tall enough (or not)! I've ordered Umbrella Bamboo - don't have the 'fancy pants' latin name handy (fargesia something...)

I suppose if bamboo was juglone intolerant it would be easier to find information!

We don't harvest our walnuts. We leave them hoping the squirrels will eat more of them and less of our birdseed!

Thanks for your comments!

Happy plantings!

Hello,

I've been looking high and low for information about the juglone
tolerance (or intolerance) of bamboo. Does anyone know or have
experience growing bamboo within the 'kill zone' of a black walnut?

Please help!

Thanks in advance.
