I often post small vegatable plants; tomatoes, beans, lettuce, and others. I
use a combination of old toilet rolls and shredded paper in a carboard box. Has
anyone found the ultimate container to send plants in?
I am looking for something that is lying around the house rather than some
£6.99 item from the local gardencenter.
All of the plants I've received through the post have been sent
enclosed in plastic cases. I assume this helps to retain moisture.
The closest I've seen in terms of household packaging is...dougnut
cases from supermarkets ( 4 for 99p at Sainsbury's )!
A pretty good excuse to gorge yourself on cakes, I'd say!
