Complete crap. To find anyone involved in the meat trade, that

who currently works for the government as a vet, spending many days at
livestock markets and abattoirs. She cares a lot about the conditions and
handling of livestock

back street abattoirs have been closed down. Long gone are the days
when a pig/lamb would be fattened in every other back yard and slaughtered
by any Tom Dick or Harry that could wield a knife.

Which part? I know the home slaughter part is not legal now in the UK, as it
was when I was a boy. It took a lot of searching for my wife and I to find
an abattoir to slaughter goat for us about 8 years ago.


Me, I eat and enjoy eating meat, the flesh of other animals is what I
thrive
on. I grew up with street celebrations around a home slaughtered pig. I
have
killed my own creatures in my own backgarden (gardening content), prepared
them for the oven, and enjoyed eating them in the knowledge that they had
a
decent life and a quick death, but no longer do so in line with modern
thinking.
