Default Watering of runner beans

I thought it was perfectly clear that if one has, in the soil, a runner

clay subsoil in my garden for they could not understand how the bean roots
were watered!!!!

Lionel - unsubscribing.

If you are unsubscribing, you will not see this!!!
To my mind, it would be easier to water if you cut the bottom out of
the pot entirely, and put that over the plant. Then you could water
more easily and it would also not make such a good hiding place for
sanails.
But then, to Lionel's mind, I'm thick!!

No off course you're not. I had a thought about this for ages - it's
quite difficult to understand why some people have different way or
logic to do things. Here, at work, we run into this a lot with the way
we design. We would in the end achieve the same design, but we go
about it a different way. I think with Lionel it's the same. Though
you did had a point with the snails ...!
