Default looking for photo album program?

Have a look at Flip Album www.flipalbum.com I checked out over 25 programs
before I settled on this on because it allowed me a great deal of
flexibility in how the album was set out, and also it was one of the few I
found that will make self-running CD albums that you can give to people.
The CD contains a directory where copies of the original photos are stored.
It looks like a real photo album on the screen, but you can choose the
binding, paper, background colours etc. The web sire has about 5,000 frames
you can use to tart up the images - I think there is a free version which I
started with then decided it was worth the $40 or so to get the version with
all the bells and whistled

thanks graham,

i will check that one out.

maybe i could expain it like this we want to archive/catalogue/album
all our family pic's, nothing fancy just the abilty for captions
(necessary).

so imagine we have all those pics in hard copy photo albums now like
most would do, we are wanting a program that will allow us to do that
on our computer, then as i see it like in my documents folder i can go
to any folder or any document edit or drag and drop whatever i wish to
do.

so idealy the program we use would list the albums/whatever in a
physical way on the tree.

we've been doing some searches but very hard for us to work out
exactly what some of the programs will or won't do.
