source of their car wash soap vendor, who sells a few used 55 gallon
plastic barrels that he can't reuse. I just bought two for $10. They
required a bit of cleaning, but the car wash soap residue in one
worked well on the barrels as well as cars.

Hmmm.. might be a possibility. Worth at least checking out...
