Default Fiter Wins Over man....

Sigh....

Filter's been working great, been cleaning it regularly the last few weeks,
and I think the bottom cracked yesterday.

I did see some water trough/storage things at the local farm supply store
when I picked up fish food last..I didn't see any with lids though. Might
stop by, and see if I can find one with a lid. Otherwise looks like I'll
have to find a online source for replacement.

Knew things were going too good to last.. ..

Bummer!

May the replacement work. Any chance to put in a liner? Or an in-
ground veggie filter?

I'll see what's available, and how much they run. I want another 50 gallon
container, and hopefully can find one for a resonable price.

The ground here is 50% rocks, and digging is a real chore. Plus, it's pretty
late in the season to try to get a veggie filter here going. All the stores
around here are just about out of pond plants anyway.

I need to tear it down, and see what exactly happened anyway.

Since I lost about 1/3rd of the pond water yesterday, topping it off cleared
it up a little more temporarily.

I talked to several car wash operators/owners before I found the
source of their car wash soap vendor, who sells a few used 55 gallon
plastic barrels that he can't reuse. I just bought two for $10. They
required a bit of cleaning, but the car wash soap residue in one
worked well on the barrels as well as cars.

Regards,

Hal
