Default [IBC] Early Pruning

Bar Branches should be eliminated as early on as possible in many species,
because their continued growth will result in unsightly swellings at the
junction to the trunk. Those swellings (as in Pine, Beech, Elm, etc.) are
very difficult if not impossible to correct.

Subject: [IBC] Early Pruning

Hello,
When should you prune things like bar branches, multiple
branches from the same point, and other branching problems that
will definitely not be used in styling a tree? Should all
branches, even problem branches, be left on while letting the
tree grow "unrestricted" for adding girth?
Thanks for any help!
