If you ever get the chance, visit the Abbey gardens Tresco in summer. The
Puyas there will take your breath away. They're in other parts of the
island, too but they're en masse in the Gardens.
Mike Nelhams, the curator has written a book about the Gardens and the
plants which is fascinating to anyone who would like to grow some of these
exotics.
