Oh, I know the NC lingo like the back of my hand but refrained from
speaking it in my post due to all the flak I would get for using
"improper" grammar. These folks all know my back-ward "red-neck" ways.
LOL!!

with excitement and praise in their voice directed toward God.
mentioning and giving acknowledgment to God as the creator and provider
was how the region earned the nickname of "The Bible Belt".

Very familiar with this...

unfortunately publications such as forbes have the area destine
for doom.

have seen this report also...

the current trend here in central NC is much like the Farmer who
without concern for the welfare of the cattle places to many cattle
in a pasture resulting in over grazing and over crowding producing
increased hazards for the cattle one of which is the rapid spread
of diseases.

Familiar with this also...its the same way down here. One guy we know is
planning to run 100 head on only 13 or so acres of land...

our governments of NC have become much like the greedy Farmer
in their seeking of increased tax revenues without concern or
regard for the quality of life for the native people. taking
into consideration what was done to the indigenous native
americans upon the arrival of the english, then nothing has
really changed and it is still all about raping the land for
the maximum applied greedy return. if the indigenous persons
won't contribute, then tax them out of existence and push them
out of the way. if that don't work then take their land under
the pretense of how the action is for the greater good of society's
need for a new airport to increase travel, trade and commerce.
commerce being the key because increasing the tax revenues for
the purpose of lining the pockets of a greedy government has
always been the underlying goal. eminent domain, what a nifty
tool to have contained within the toolbox.

Well, while this is true, it's not just NC that this has/is taken/taking
place in. On the flip-side, we'll be blessed to stay out of the red
thanks to this drought & the gummit.

there is a message contained within this ONGOING drought.

We have been studying on this & discussing this at church as well. While
we know there is a "bigger plan", it still didn't/doesn't hurt to pray
for the much needed rain. Small cattlemen/farmers have really been
"pushed" out this year. While the gummit is offering "relief" for some,
I doubt that in the long run it would actually be "relief".

Heard that all my life...as well as a few others.

(as a side note: also happy that my tiny isp finally fixed my newsgroups
problem!!)

'tiny' telling choice of word.

shrugs sheepishly
well it's the only thing available for DSL and even for dial-up without
long distance charges...
