Why does the lorikeet go to the eucalyptus?


They are nectar eaters and eat the nectar from the flowers.

I didn't know they flowered, ours didn't :-)


They all flower but on a lot, the flowers aren't all that noticeable. The
"Summer Beauty" is a hybrid and has been developed for the flowers. I
have a Red Flowering one too, but unfortunately the damn scrub turkeys
broke it off at ground level and so no flowers this year. I also have an
orange flowering one, but it probably won't flower till next year or the
year after.


It also might be because we're in Yorkshire :-)
