Your front yard!

Why does the lorikeet go to the eucalyptus?

I didn't know they flowered, ours didn't :-)

Yes.

Why does the lorikeet go to the eucalyptus?

They are nectar eaters and eat the nectar from the flowers.

I didn't know they flowered, ours didn't :-)

They all flower but on a lot, the flowers aren't all that noticeable. The
"Summer Beauty" is a hybrid and has been developed for the flowers. I have
a Red Flowering one too, but unfortunately the damn scrub turkeys broke it
off at ground level and so no flowers this year. I also have an orange
flowering one, but it probably won't flower till next year or the year
after.

It also might be because we're in Yorkshire :-)

Barbara the flower is good enough to make a nice picture all by itself. So
is the bird. Put them together in one shot and you've REALLY got something
good!

That is a remarkable shot.

Thanks. How I wish they would pose, however the reason he was sitting like
that is because a lady was walking past and he was on the alert, he flew
away seconds after I took the photo.
