Mine often spawn the entire day, tearing up plants and knocking off scales.
Sometimes I even see cuts on their heads. They will start at sunup and stop
right before sundown. By then the pond is a mess of foam and froth and has a
distinct "fishy" aroma. That's gone in 24 hours. Soon I see baby koi by the
hundreds.
