Someone/one has broken a couple of 'branches' from my small pieris

which
is next to the footpath. I'm very fond of this plant. It's shape is

spoilt
but it will recover.

My question is, is there any chance of striking roots from the

broken
bits?

funny enough, I tried this a few weeks ago, and not one of them have
taken... *I'm not having my usual good luck with cuttings lately....

I doubt if you will have any luck, but what the hell try, what have
you to loose.
Good luck
