Does anyone know if Phalaenopsis amabilis and P. 'Tiasuco Snow' are one
and
the same? The flowers of both orchids appear to be identical.

As you probably know one is a species and the other a hybrid, if the
latter was a variety of P.amabilis it would be written so. (e.g.
P.amabilis "Taisuco Snow") There are a great many "Taisuco" Phals about,
obviously the breeders name.
I think for a definitive answer you need to contact experts like McBeans
Orchids ...

http://www.mcbeansorchids.co.uk/

ps. note spelling of Taisuco.

Had another look on the web and found this...

http://www.phalaenopsis.idv.tw/hybrids/K/Kung's%20Kaala%20X%20Taisuco%20Snow.htm

which shows the breeding line. (don't need to download a language file to
see it)
