Fairly big, I am afraid - mine didn't until 10' plus. It's not all
that many years in good conditions (5 or so?), but hazel is not a small
shrub nor a short-lived one.

And they won't flower unless they get some sun.

I suppose they always be transplanted into a hedge and forgotten about
until they do fruit. We seem to have several around the place that are
self-sown and if they're not doing any harm, we just leave them.
