I thought that they were such cute little bugs when I first saw them.
My attitude has changed since they have turned the leaves of my
eggplants into lace. I'm planning to use the following recipe but it
won't be ready until tommorrow.

Garlic/Pepper Mixture
? 1/2 cup hot peppers of your choice
? 1/2 cup garlic cloves ( onions will also do )
? 2 cups water
Steep this mixture for 24 hours. An easy method for steeping the tea is
to combine the ingredients in a clear glass jar, seal, and set in a
sunny location. Strain and spray onto foliage.

Additionally, I check out the nursery for nematodes today. Any other
ideas?

I got rid of most of them using Diatomaceous Earth made for swimming pools.
Get it at any Home Depot. It's made from diatoms naturally found in the
sea. A huge box for something like $10. It'll last for years and years. It
kills other bugs, insects and worms also. It kills by desiccation and
irritation. Don't breathe the powder.

Yeah, it's glass. The silicon protection of diatom, the grass of the
seas.

Fortunately, my run in with flea beetles has reached a cease fire after
the garlic and pepper sauce, catnip, marigolds, alyssum, and a potted
yarrow came on the scene. I'm also keeping the soil very wet and have
unleashed nematodes on their larva.

I'm glad to hear that D.E. worked on them. I'll keep it in mind.
