The second, some sort of Dianthus - are these commonly known as carnations or pinks?

Taken in the same garden in July.

Any help much appeciated!
The first is Alstroemeria [also known as Princess lilies or Peruvian lilies]. They are not true lilies, growing from rhizomes.

The second is indeed a pink. To me pinks are generally single and carnations have multiple petals, but the species are so intermingled that only the experts can say which is which.
