Default help wanted to identify two flowers:-)

The first looks like some sort of lily - taken in June in a garden in Wiltshi

The second, some sort of Dianthus - are these commonly known as carnations or pinks?

Taken in the same garden in July.

Any help much appeciated!

It's one of the Alstroemerias

The first is Alstroemeria [also known as Princess lilies or Peruvian lilies]. They are not true lilies, growing from rhizomes.

The second is indeed a pink. To me pinks are generally single and carnations have multiple petals, but the species are so intermingled that only the experts can say which is which.

The second pic doesnt show if the flowers are all on one stem or are
several flower stems together. if one stem then it's a Sweet William.
