I've been keeping an eye on two clumps of daffodils growing on our

their bit and come out. Anyone else having had sightings of daffodils
yet?

Not quite yet, but I have been interested to see that, due to the
softening of the soil by all this rain, where there is a clump of
daffs the grass has been pushed up by the emerging stalks so that it
is now about 4 - 5 inches above its original level!

Why is it that we see so few N. bulbocodium ("hoop petticoat")? They're
an absolute delight, but the only mini they ever seem to have in the
usual places is "Tete-a-tete" (nothing against that, as it's very
pretty, but let's have some variety).
