Does anyone recognize this herb?

Comfrey

This is for Billy to check out before he tries to eat any of that
comfrey.

We use it over here to crop for making fertilizer/feed for the rest of our
garden. Best planted in the garden so it can get it's roots down and bring
up all the nutrients, the leaves are harvested a few times each year and
fermented (well away from the house!) in a barrel and the resulting smelly
liquid used to make feed for the other plants. Mostly used by organic
growers.
We use horse manure, less messy/smelly.
